Welcome to 1st Grade!

Hello! We hope you had a fantastic summer! We are so excited to start the school year in a brand new school, we hope you are excited too.

This year, we decided to create a grade level blog. We will each take turns updating it. If you click on the tab at the top with your child's teacher's name, you will find information specific for your child's homeroom.
Be sure to check this blog often as we are  becoming a greener school, it will be updated often. You can also become a follower by clicking "Join this site" on the right hand side.

As always, email or call us with any questions.

We'd like for our students to tell us what their favorite memory is from the summer by leaving a comment. We can't wait to read them~be sure to look for ours :)

See you very soon,

It has been a busy and wonderful summer! I've had so many great things going on but my favorite memory is my wedding day, July 09. It was such a beautiful day and so much fun! Now, on to planning great things for the school year :)

  2. I have had a terrific summer with my family and friends! My favorite memory is my trip to Hawaii. I got married in March so we enjoyed taking our honeymoon this summer. We went to many beaches, saw waterfalls, hiked, and snorkeled. I have also loved setting up my new classroom!

  3. I had a great summer. I was a flower girl in my cousin's wedding. It was in Pensacola, FL. Then my family went to Disney. I really liked getting my hair done at the Bibbodi, Bobbidi Boutique-it looked so pretty! I met Mrs. Calendrelli's cousin who was working in Downtown Disney! What a small world! I also went to Maine where I drove a quad with my dad. I also got to sleep outside in a tent. I went to Cape Cod and rode my bike to the beach. It has been a great summer!

  4. I went to Disneyworld and I stayed at the Boardwalk. I loved the pool and slide, it was a clown slide. I got my hair and make up done at Biddidi Bobbidi Boo Boutique. Then I to Epcot and went on my favorite ride Test Track. I went to Turtle Talk to see Crush and he taught me the word 'Dude'!

  5. My favorite summer memory is going to Chicago with my family. I loved going to the American Girl Place in Chicago. I got clothes for my Bitty Baby. I got my picture taken with my baby for the American Girl magazine. I also went to a hot-air balloon festival in Chicago. I loved seeing all of the hot-air balloons. They lit up at night.

  6. It was a very busy summer at the Burnham's. My oldest son graduated from Woburn high School and is now at Merrimack College. We had lots of fun getting him ready for his new adventure. We had a family cookout to send him on his way. All his cousins, aunts, uncles and friends got together for one last celebration. Now I am getting excited to meet my new first grade friends in our beautiful new classroom. Can't wait to see everyone on September 7th. :)

  7. My favorite trip this summer was when we went camping on Cape Cod. We had fun. We made sand castles and went for a walk. We saw lots of seals but no sharks! I got to stay up very late and roasted marshmallows over the campfire.
